DESCRIPTION:The Vancouver Island Local History Society and the Nanaimo Museum have partnered to develop a travelling exhibit: The Great Vancouver Island Land Grab. \nThe exhibit introduces visitors to the Esquimalt & Nanaimo (E&N) Railway Land Grant of 1887 — also known as the great land grab. Through graphic novel and comic style panels\, video\, and interactive elements\, visitors learn what happened\, who is affected\, and what it means for today. \nFeaturing illustrations by: \n\nEliot White-Hill\, Kwulasultun – Snuneymuxw First Nation\nJordanna George\, T’Sou-ke First Nation\nGord Hill\, Kwakwaka’wakw Nation\n\nThe exhibit is bilingual (English and French) and will travel Vancouver Island through 2026 and 2027.
