This May we are having an afternoon meeting at 2pm at the Nanaimo Harbourfront Library (in addition to\, not instead of the usual evening meeting). \nWant to talk about what you’re reading but don’t want to be told what to read? This is the book club for you!  \nIf you attended one of previous meetings\, bring along your reading prompt list and what you’ve been reading. If this is your first time\, bring your current or recent read to share with the group. See an image of the reading prompt list below and pick up your copy at the meeting. \nYou can read any book that fits any prompt\, whatever month you want. Then you can compare notes with bookish friends at our meetings! DESCRIPTION:Introducing Carlie\, 0ne of our furry library assistants! \nPaws and Tales is a reading program for kids ages 7 and up. Young readers can bring a book and sign up for a 20-minute reading session with Carlie\, a certified therapy dog from the Pacific Animal Therapy Society. \nCarlie is a patient and friendly listener who loves stories and meeting new friends. This program helps children practice reading aloud with a comforting companion\, build confidence\, and make reading a fun experience. \nTo register\, visit the branch or call 250-642-3022 to book a 20-minute slot. An adult must accompany each child. \nThe Pacific Animal Therapy Society has been providing compassionate pet therapy to Vancouver Islanders for over 35 years. \n
