If you live or pay property taxes in the Vancouver Island Regional Library service area, you can get a free library card.
 
To join:
Proof of residence will be needed to ensure your library card stays active! Explore this web site to learn more about the services your library card brings you.  All residents in the Vancouver Island Regional Library area and non-residents who own or rent property, or those who attend an educational institution in the service area, can get a Library card and use our services.
 
Children 12 years or younger must have a parent’s or legal guardian’s signature, and are responsible for their child’s card, borrowed items, and fines.
 
All items borrowed with your library card are your responsibility. Please see The rules of conduct for details.
