Will Ferguson wins Giller Prize

Calgary writer Will Ferguson has won the prestigious Giller Prize for his novel 419.  Ferguson is a three time winner of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour.

The Giller prize honours the best book of English-language fiction written in the past year.

Other finalists include Alix Ohlin for Inside, Nancy Richler for The Imposter Bride, Kim Thuy for Ru, and Rusell Wangersky for Whirl Away.
