Canadians reading 3.4 million books a week

More than 3.4 million books are bought at book stores or borrowed from libraries during a typical January week in Canada, the second annual National Book Count found.

The count, which is sponsored by the National Reading Campaign, also found that 10 per cent of all books sold are digital, while just three per cent of books borrowed from libraries are in digital formats.
