Two books. Two good plots. One you can’t put down, the other you don’t even pick up. Why? In the majority of cases, it is simply the way the author has chosen to use language. As Virginia Woolf once said, the English language has been “out and about” and words have picked up “baggage” far beyond their actual definition.  “The Write Word” is an interactive workshop designed to help authors choose and use the right words, words that invite the reader to step into their stories. For those starting out on the writing journey – and even for those who are well along the path. We will examine examples from both modern and classical works, and work on several short exercises designed to increase your ability to choose the best word to portray your story.

Bio: Rachel (R.J.) Her poetry has appeared in numerous publications, including the recently released anthology All Our Words Needed Saying.
