IRL is supporting Vancouver Island University’s Orange Shirt Day event at Cowichan Campus in Duncan (2011 University Way). Orange Shirt Day (www.OrangeShirtDay.org) is held annually to recognize the harm the residential school system inflicted on children's sense of self-esteem and well-being, and to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that everyone around us matters.

VIU ORANGE SHIRT DAY PROGRAM:

11:00 AM – Shirt draw – Meet at VIU Welcome Centre. 

11:30 AM – Group photo -Wear your orange shirt – Main Foyer or Totem Entrance.

12:00 PM – Film: We Were Children– Rm #140 (Lecture Theatre)

1:30 PM – Elder/Sharing Circle - Rm #135
