What is localization on the internet? How does it affect you?

Localization is a global system for presenting regional variations of language and content on websites. Localization may foster censorship and propaganda, potentially facilitating the alteration of news programs or factual events. How so? Let Martin Anthony walk you through his understanding of this seemingly invisible firewall of free information.

Martin Anthony has long experience of Internet issues, sitting on Praxis and AES committees. He was manager and Editor in Chief of an English Internet department of a Turkish news agency in Istanbul, as well as host of a Istanbul TV talk show.
