Learn about the Mayan Calendar at the Campbell River Library

Are you ready for the Apocalypse on December 21, 2012?  Many people are caught up in preparing for an "end of days", structuring their lives on a belief that catastropic events are in the earth's near future.

On Feb. 23 at 6:30 pm, join Campbell River resident Roy Myers, as he explores the mechanics of the Mayan calendars.  With a PhD in astronomy, Mr. Myers will examine the background to theories about a "galactic alignment", and suggest how an observer today can appreciate what the Maya saw long ego.  His talk will be accompanied by a power point presentation.
