Books By Mail (BBM) service came to the Vancouver Island Regional Library in 1985 when the Provincial Library Services Branch handed over to regional libraries the responsibility for the BBM customers living in their regional library district. BBM service has grown over the years and continues to serve customers in remote and isolated communities throughout the Library's service area.
